  1. I got to spend this Christmas in the North of Poland. Experiencing a traditional Polish Christmas with one of my friends family. It was so neat to hear all of there traditions and taste there 12 different main courses! But it was truly beautiful to see how Christmas is spent on the other side of the world. I love that family is family wherever you go!

  2. Due to conflicting family schedules, we did our family gift opening on Friday night. This morning, when I woke up at 6:20am (it's my regular wake-up work time– I'm a teacher, instead of getting mad at myself, I opened the shade to enjoying the rising sun over the freshly fallen snow and read for an hour and a half. Now I'm enjoying a cup of coffee. A great way to start the day.

  3. My best moment is just being home again with all my family. πŸ™‚ I flew in last night and it was so good to wake up in my old bed at mom and dad's. πŸ˜€

  4. Best moment besides Christ's birth was my black lab jumping on the kitchen counter and eating a cinnamon roll fresh from the oven! Merry CHRISTmas!

  5. Merry Christmas, Erynn! The best moment today (besides celebrating Christ's wonderful goodness) was drinking my French press coffee with some wonderful steamed and frothed milk. It was amazing. πŸ™‚

  6. My best moment TODAY was hearing the chatter of my 2 oldest as they awoke early at 5 AM to find everything under the tree. Then came the chorus of "Thank you, Mom" as they were served their reindeer pancakes.
However, the best part of CHRISTMAS came last night after the Christmas Eve service when my kids took turns quoting parts of Luke 2. I LOVE that my babies love Jesus.

  7. This was the first Christmas that my family has spent with my three young foster siblings – watching them embrace the joy of the holiday for the first time in our household … so special!

  8. The best part of the day was going to DC and eating pbj for Christmas lunch by the Lincoln memorial with my cousin and then taking our pictures by Christmas trees by the White House, Capitol, and Canadian Embassy.

  9. My 7-year-old nephew had to complete a scavenger hunt to find one of his gifts. It was so fun to help him with the clues and see his reaction when he found his new golf club!

  10. Spending time with family and also opening my new apron. I'm big into baking cupcakes, but like a little kid, I somehow always manage to get powdered sugar or something all over me, so my mom bought me an apron that says "Cupcake Queen" and has a little crown on it.

  11. Merry Christmas! I'm excited to read your new novella! My favorite part of today had to be spending time with family. Hope you had a great Christmas! : )

  12. Watching my husband read from The Jesus Storybook Bible (we love it!) last night . . . my three-year-old and two-year-old wearing Christmas pajamas and snuggled in their daddy's arms. Best moment of my year!

  13. Playing Scrabble, dressing my cat up as a reindeer, building with Legos (we're all grown adults), and having Chinese food for dinner were a few highlights. πŸ™‚

  14. Watching my 3 year old look for his name on presents and helping to hand out the others. Sitting around all afternoon drinking coffee, eating appitizers and visiting with my Mom and siblings.

  15. I think the best part was sitting under the table with my two little cousins (3 1/2 and 1 1/2), who I don't get to see very often, eating food and tickling each other. So cute πŸ™‚ I love family xx

  16. Boxing Day in Australia is usually a hot and humid 40 degrees celcius and deep water is a must (as in beach, lake, pool or billabing not as in getting in trouble). Yesterday, however, was a beautiful cold (20 degree c), rainy day and I spent it enjoying all things Lauren Emma Holbrook. For that I want to say:

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Erynn with coffee and turtle chocolate cake on top!"

I laughed so much my abs still hurt a day later! And I think I can safely say that living with Laurie for a little while is the best exercise there is πŸ™‚

It was the perfect way to end Christmas. Thanks πŸ™‚
