8 days, a pumpkin patch and a birthday party

A week from tomorrow, we will find out what we are having!! I can’t believe it’s so close and SO FAR away. 🙂

We have gone to the same pumpkin patch in town ever since Nathan was three months old, so of course we had to go this year! We’ve had such a crazy month that we barely were able to squeeze in a visit before it closes this Thursday.

My sweet baby boy. Why does he look 15 in this picture??

Playing some of the wonderful games and feeding the fun animals they always have every year. Nathan LOVES this part!

Kissing baby Brother Sister. This is a daily occurrence. Sometimes hourly. 😉 This little one will not be without affection, I can pretty much guarantee that!

Today is my baby sister’s twenty-third birthday! We had a big celebration last night with the fam – Nathan was not lacking in his “help” opening presents last night.

Love my sister so much!! She’s one of my dearest friends and I don’t take that for granted.

All decked out

I’m writing this post wearing a lei and a bracelet that Nathan made at Cubbies last night. I absolutely LOVE that he’s bringing me home accessories now!

This past week we celebrated my amazing mom’s birthday! And we were so busy having fun that I forgot to get a picture of the two of us. So here’s one from a few years ago. Ha! 🙂 Love my mom – we have a lot of fun together!

My brother Caleb and his fiancee, Nicole, ran in their first race together this past weekend!! I love that they stayed together the whole time. 🙂

One of Nathan’s favorite things about going to bed at Gammy and Pops’ house when the whole family is there – having Uncle Bryant read him his bedtime stories. Love it.

Tonight, we had a lovely time playing with “Rearview Mater” and friends. They fought off a dinosaur and then Nathan decided to read to them. I think he enjoyed the story more than they did. 😉

And finally, here’s my crazy singing a song he learned at BSF. I love it. I cry my mascara off during so many dinners laughing at this kid. He just kills me.

What are you guys up to this week??

Oh the memories

Jon got a new phone and while we were cleaning off some of his old data, I found this little gem and HAD to share it with you guys today.

Ha! I can’t believe that was three years ago!! I remember not going anywhere without a spit up rag – not even from the living room to the kitchen.

I think we’re both praying for a calmer stomach in this new one… 😉

Early fall favorites

(If you missed it, I drew the winner for Paige Rewritten – you can find it here!!)

A few favorite pictures from the past few weeks. 🙂

I love, love, LOVE this picture of my boy at the fall festival. He’d just finished walking Kody in the pet parade and then he got his face painted. I think he was a little excited about the results. 😉

Pre-face-painting: Only in a small town pet parade will you see a chicken in a dress walking in a parade.

Yes. A CHICKEN.

Me and my loves in front of the infamous Bees. Love Balloon Fiesta days! It’s the official start to fall for me.

Have I mentioned I love the Balloon Fiesta???

Sillies messing around during the Fiesta. I don’t think I could love his little gap-toothed grin any more. 😉

My dear friend Kaitlin, her husband Eitan and their precious baby boy are in town this week!! We have loved going to the Fiesta with them, hanging out together, having girl dates and watching the boys play.

These two. Adore them. This has been excellent practice for Nathan and he has LOVED every second with Asaf. Asaf seems to be fairly fond of Nathan too. 😉 I think they will be good friends!

Baby #2 – 17.5 Week Update

I’m not exactly sure how I can already be 17.5 weeks along! In one sense, I have felt every minute of this pregnancy but God has been good to have the weeks go by quickly! It helps to be busy. 🙂

We had an appointment yesterday and got to hear our little one’s heartbeat again which always makes me so relieved. The nurse did have a hard time finding it at first because the baby kept kicking at the doppler. 🙂 It was a nice and strong 152 beats per minute.

I’ve felt the baby too! It’s not very consistent, but especially after I eat and drink, I can feel little movements in there. So amazing. Such an incredible feeling! I primarily feel this little one on the left side of my stomach.

I still haven’t made it a full two days without throwing up. This little one is holding onto that nausea! With Nathan, I was queasy until about 14 or 15 weeks but I don’t think I threw up past 14 weeks. I’m thankful it’s not three times a day anymore, though. And honestly, I could throw up this whole pregnancy and still be fine with it. I’m so thankful to be sick! 😉

I still haven’t had any cravings or aversions. With Nathan, I could not stand eggs or chicken but I’ve liked them both so far with this one. I feel like I’m more tired, but I think a big part of that is that I’m not able to sleep for 18 hours a day with this one. 😉

Nathan adores his “Brother Sister” and kisses my stomach very regularly. Right now he keeps saying that he wants a boy but he spent the first part of this pregnancy saying it was a girl. Although, today he told me that he thinks it’s “a grill”.

And we will know on November 5th which one it is!!! 🙂 I cannot, CANNOT wait. We’re going to wait and find out at a gender reveal party that night. 🙂 I’m praying these next three weeks fly past!!

Lovely Life

Friends, we have had the CRAZIEST few weeks. Absolutely insane. But wonderfully wonderful at the same time!!

In the biggest and BEST news….

My
brother, Bryant, proposed to his beautiful girlfriend, Nicole, and they
are getting married! We are so so so excited. She is just precious and
we love her greatly. We cannot wait to see what amazing things God does
in their life together!

A
couple of weekends ago, Nathan got to walk Kody in a pet parade that a
little village near our town puts on every fall. It was so cute. You had
to dress as a hero so he (shockingly) picked a firefighter. 😉 We love
firefighters!

We spent time at Lobo Stadium. 🙂

Last
Friday, we went to have breakfast with Jon at his school. I wasn’t
feeling so good that morning and that afternoon I started running a
fever. Ugh. I fought the virus all weekend and I’ve still got some
residual congestion and laryngitis. I’m rocking that Phoebe from Friends sexy voice. 😉

I
sucked down a few cough drops and we headed to the Balloon Fiesta
anyway on Sunday night because I adore the Fiesta and I was hating that
we weren’t going at all that opening weekend!

Jon and the boy. 🙂

This
crazy is so funny. Somedays he is the best at taking posed pictures and
other days he could care less about them. Obviously this day was the
latter.

Me and my loveliest Cayce!

The
month before we got engaged, Jon and I went to the Balloon Fiesta and
that’s when they introduced the boy and girl bumblebee balloons. They
were SO cute and I totally fell in love with them. Well, the year that
we brought Nathan for the first time as a three month old, they
introduced the baby bee! SO fun!

My three bees!

My other favorite. For obvious reasons. 😉

Tomorrow!!

Oh, I have PILES of pictures and memories to post to this blog, but they will have to wait yet again. I spent the weekend sick with a cold and fever (yuck) but thankfully the fever appears to be gone and just the lingering cough and laryngitis is here.

Oy.

In WAY MORE FUN news, look what happens to come out…oh.. TOMORROW.

😀

I might be a tiny bit excited. 🙂

I don’t know if any of you are like me – I really, really, REALLY hate the way my voice sounds recorded so this is hard for me to share, BUT I adored talking with Lisa Buffaloe from Living Joyfully Free! Here’s where you can hear our conversation – and I would highly encourage you to check out some of the amazing people she’s interviewed on her blog!!

I also got to chat with Nicole O’Dell this weekend on her Choose Now Teen Talk Radio show – definitely be sure to tune into her show! I was headlong into the cold so I sounded MISERABLE but Nicole was super sweet about it.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Paige Rewritten!! 🙂

To pre-order on my website, click here!

And for those of you who asked, I know it will release on Kindle, but I don’t have an exact date yet. As soon as I know, I will be sure to update on my Facebook page and here!

Have a wonderful night! I’m off to drink more honey-lemoned water. 😉

Snippets

I have so many pictures to upload of our weekend that I just haven’t had the time/energy to do but I did want to show a couple of highlights!

We took this one mini-golfing for a church event last Friday night. First hole up, he whacked the ball, it hit a rock, a curb, a barrier and then landed square in the hole for a hole-in-one. He started doing a victory dance while Jon and I just stared in shock, but it was apparently first timer’s luck because here’s how he golfed the rest of the night:

Ha!

And our Lobos lost this last weekend but it didn’t stop these two from having a good time.

Love my boys. 🙂

What have you all been up to??
